[SANTA MARIA, CA. March 5, 2025] – The Santa Maria Valley Chamber is proud to announce two significant achievements for its leadership team.
Molly Alves, Vice President of Operations & Membership, has been selected to participate in the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation’s highly competitive Business Leads Fellowship Program. This eight-month program trains leaders in education and workforce development, providing Alves with the opportunity to collaborate with peers across the country and enhance local initiatives.
Additionally, Suzanne Singh, Vice President of Economic Development & Government Affairs, has been honored with the 2024 Government Affairs SB County Award from the Home Builders Association of the Central Coast (HBACC) for her exceptional work in advocating for housing development and fostering regional growth.
Alves was chosen from a competitive pool of applicants to join 34 other leaders from across the nation in the Business Leads Fellowship. The program covers all aspects of the talent pipeline, equipping Fellows with the knowledge and skills needed to address local workforce challenges. Upon completion, Fellows will join a national network of over 350 Chamber leaders, further expanding their impact on local and national workforce development.
“Workforce development is an instrumental part of what we do at the Santa Maria Valley Chamber to help strengthen our local community,” Alves said. “I’m excited to learn from and alongside my peers in this program to build upon the work we’re doing locally to address education and workforce challenges.”
In addition to Alves’ recognition, Suzanne Singh’s 2024 Government Affairs SB County Award highlights her dedication to advocating for housing development, building strong relationships, and driving economic growth across the region. Singh has played a pivotal role in shaping policies that support sustainable growth and improve the quality of life for residents of the Santa Maria Valley.
“This recognition is a testament to the incredible work being done by so many in our community to drive growth and advocate for housing development. I look forward to continuing to work alongside our partners to create a thriving, sustainable future for the Santa Maria Valley,” Singh said.
Both of these prestigious recognitions underscore the Santa Maria Valley Chamber’s ongoing commitment to leadership, community development and fostering economic vitality in the region.
