The report provides information about the quality of City water for the calendar year 2022. It includes details about where City water comes from, what it contains, and how it compares to State standards. The report is available on the City website at www.cityofsantamaria.org/utilities. Broadway Closure for Car Cruise From 5:30 to 9:00 p.m. Friday, May 26th, the section of Broadway (State Highway 135) from Cook Street to Stowell Road will be closed in both directions for the annual West Coast Kustoms “Crusin Nationals” car cruise. The cruise is open only to registered participants. Motorists may detour by using Stowell Road, Miller Street and Cook Street. The Santa Maria Police Department will monitor and enforce traffic. Santa Maria Moves to Consolidate Regional Bus Service Riders of the regional Breeze Bus Routes 100 and 200 and New Cuyama inter-community bus routes will see these rebranded as Santa Maria Regional Transit (SMRT) local fixed routes, starting on Saturday, July 1st. The Santa Maria Valley Chamber has partnered with the Santa Barbara County Education Office on "Santa Maria Next", a program that highlights the career readiness training offered in high school career pathways and recognizes students who are excelling in these various pathways. "As a champion for a strong local community, we know that local workforce development is a critical part of a vibrant community," explained Glenn Morris, President/CEO of the Santa Maria Valley Chamber.
