Santa Maria Valley Chamber Announces Suzanne Singh as Vice President of Economic Development & Government Affairs

[SANTA MARIA, CA. February 20, 2025] –  The Santa Maria Valley Chamber is proud to announce the promotion of Suzanne Singh to Vice President of Economic Development & Government Affairs. With over eight years of leadership at the Chamber and 15+ years of experience in economic and community development, Singh has been instrumental in driving business expansion, infrastructure improvements, and regional growth initiatives.

Throughout her tenure, Singh has successfully led major development projects that have transformed Santa Maria’s economic landscape, including A.T. Still University (ATSU) where Singh played a key role in facilitating the establishment of ATSU’s Santa Maria campus, which is now training future healthcare professionals and addressing critical workforce shortages in the region.

Singh was fundamental in the planning and business recruitment efforts that made Enos Ranch a thriving commercial hub, bringing new retail, dining, and service industry opportunities to Santa Maria.

As she steps into this expanded role, Singh will continue driving major initiatives, with a particular focus on the ongoing Solomon Hills Project and the Downtown Specific Plan, both transformative developments that will blend economic growth, residential expansion, and tourism opportunities to strengthen Santa Maria’s long-term prosperity.

“Suzanne has been a driving force behind some of Santa Maria’s most impactful economic development projects,” said Michael Boyer, President & CEO, “her leadership, vision, and ability to bring together key stakeholders have been crucial to the success of major initiatives, and we are excited to see her continue shaping the region’s future.”

In addition to overseeing business attraction, infrastructure expansion, and workforce development initiatives, Singh will be leading the Chamber’s government affairs efforts, advocating for policies that support local businesses and ensure a strong economic environment.

“I’m excited to take on this role at such a pivotal time for Santa Maria,” said Singh. “With past successes like ATSU and Enos Ranch setting the stage for continued growth, I look forward to working with our partners on the Solomon Hills Project, Downtown Specific Plan and other initiatives that will define the future of our community.”
