Santa Maria Valley Chamber and League of Women Voters to Host 2024 Forum for Santa Maria Public Airport Board, District 5

[SANTA MARIA, CA. October 7, 2024] – The Santa Maria Valley Chamber and League of Women Voters of North Santa Barbara County have partnered to host the upcoming Candidate Forum for Santa Maria Public Airport Board, District 5, taking place on October 14th at OASIS Senior Center at 420 Soares Ave., Orcutt, CA 93455. There will be time for networking from 5:30pm-6pm, and the forum will be held 6pm-7pm.

During the moderated forum, candidates will each answer various questions regarding their experiences, qualifications and plans to improve the airport and community.

There will also be a question and answer period where audience members may submit written questions to the candidates. Time will be available after the forum to interact with the candidates.

The forum is open to the public and free to attend. Seating is limited and RSVPs are encouraged. Parking is limited and it is encouraged for audience to arrive early.

“We are proud to partner with the Santa Maria Valley Chamber on these forums to provide voters with the opportunity to stay informed in this election with the Candidate Forums, fostering dialogue and transparency in our community,” said Alison Wales of the League of Women Voters.

“This is a unique opportunity to engage and interact with local candidates, on a fair and moderated platform,” Wales said.
