[SANTA MARIA, CA. May 6, 2025] - The Santa Maria Valley Chamber invites the local business community and general public to attend its May Chamber Mixer on Thursday, May 15, 2025, from 5 to 7 p.m. This month’s event is hosted by Partners in Education, a nonprofit initiative of the Santa Barbara County Education Office, and will take place at the Mark Richardson Career Technical Education (CTE) Center, located at 1280 Founders Avenue, Santa Maria, CA 93455, near the Elks Rodeo Grounds.
The mixer is free and open to the public, and provides an excellent opportunity for networking, enjoying complimentary refreshments, and learning how local businesses can engage directly with education initiatives that benefit students across Santa Barbara County.
Attendees will learn how they can support student success by hosting or sponsoring summer interns, joining the Partners Council, or volunteering in classrooms to introduce students to various career paths. Representatives from Partners in Education will be available to help interested individuals take immediate action to get involved, whether through volunteering, donating, or committing to host an intern this summer.
“Our monthly mixers provide a meaningful space for connection, and this month we’re proud to spotlight an organization that is truly shaping the future workforce,” said Michael Boyer, President and CEO of the Santa Maria Valley Chamber. “We encourage members and guests to come ready to engage.”
“We’re grateful to partner with the Santa Maria Valley Chamber on this event, which helps us connect directly with the local business community,” said Chelsea Duffy, Executive Director of Partners in Education, a 501(C)3 organization administered by the Santa Barbara County Education Office. “When education and industry come together, students benefit. This mixer creates an ideal setting to build those vital connections and inspire meaningful engagement.”
