Founded in 1917, the organization has served the community for more than a century.

Unity Shoppe serves families, children, seniors, and people with disabilities, most often through referrals from local nonprofits, schools, hospitals, and social service agencies. Our Client Services Center and Central Distribution Facility allow referred clients to shop with dignity, respect, and choice for food, clothing, and household basics. We offer job training, senior support services including Unity Delivers - a home grocery delivery, and seasonal programs such as school supply distribution and holiday toy drives.

Unity Shoppe operates a retail thrift store at 1209 State Street in Santa Barbara, which supports its programs and services, along with a satellite location in Lompoc that serves North County residents.

Unity Shoppe's mission is to reinforce human dignity and independence for residents navigating unforeseen crisis.
