Industry Tours are organized to support, provide information for, and raise awareness of industry and manufacturing in Santa Maria. Factory tours, special events and timely topics are presented every other month. 

Cal Portland invites you to attend an informative and interactive Industry Tour that will include a visit to the Garey Aggregate Plant.
 
The tour will begin at the SM Airport Board Room. We will then be traveling a short distance to Garey Aggregate Plant site, transportation is provided to the site by Cal Portland.  
 
The tour will focus on the how Cal Portland mines out of the SM River and the process of crushing the rock.  We will also make a stop at River Bench Winery to exhibit Cal Portland's reclamation project on their old mining site, which is now which is now vineyards.

Once transported back to the SM Airport Board Room , we will have an optional post-tour Q&A session.

 Due to unpredictable weather patterns our host recommends visitors to prepare for rain and mud. Visitors should dress appropriately for an on-site visit. 
(i.e. slacks and heels are not recommended.)

*Boots, flats, and closed-toe shoes are required. Hats and sunglasses are recommended.
