The City of Santa Maria Public Library is pleased to announce the first in a series of workshops to promote digital literacy. This workshop will be held Saturday, September 23rd at 10:30 a.m. in the Library’s Learning Loft. The Library is located at 421 South McClelland Street.
The first unit of this series will cover basic components of a computer, internet searching, and databases. The Library will provide laptops for use during the workshop or patrons can bring their own. Patrons interested in attending may register via the Library’s online events calendar at www.cityofsantamaria.org/Library or by calling (805) 925-0994. This workshop promotes the Library’s ongoing mission to encourage digital literacy.
This Santa Maria Smart City, Safe City program helps improve the quality of life by teaching people how to bridge the digital divide through instructional help with smart phones, tablets, laptops and desktops.
