Trolley passengers can visit some of the area’s most popular tasting rooms every Saturday and Sunday through Nov. 27, 2022 (plus, Black Friday)
Oct. 18, 2022 (SANTA MARIA, CA) – Sit back, relax and get ready to sip your way through Santa Maria Valley’s tasting rooms on the Santa Maria Wine Trolley. Thanks to high demand, the trolley service’s operation dates have been extended through Sunday, Nov. 27, 2022. The trolley runs Saturdays and Sundays, plus Black Friday.
Trolley tickets can be purchased in advance for only $15 per person at a variety of easy-to-access locations throughout Santa Maria Valley or at the trolley for $18 per person.
Starting at Costa de Oro Winery, wine trolley riders can explore Santa Maria Valley at their own pace. While the entire route takes approximately 60 minutes, passengers can step on and off at their convenience. A complete timetable of the Wine Trolley’s stops is available online. Decals on the trolley windows include a QR code directing back to the schedule on the Santa Maria Valley website as well.
Additional stops include Amplify Wines, Steller’s Cellar and Cottonwood Canyon Winery, as well as Old Town Orcutt at Broadway & Clark, where travelers can explore quaint shops, delicious restaurants and more inviting tasting rooms.
“The end-of-season interest we’ve seen this year has translated to a significant uptick in riders,” said Jennifer Harrison, Santa Maria Valley’s Tourism Director. “Also, the tasting rooms along the route have seen increases in sales as a direct result of the trolley – we’re happy to help continue supporting their success by extending the trolley’s season.”
The Wine Trolley is provided by Santa Maria Regional Transit in a City and Chamber of Commerce partnership to support tourism and economic development. Find more ways to sip, dine and do more for less in Santa Maria Valley at santamariavalley.com.
