Resources at the Santa Maria Public Library

The City of Santa Maria Public Library presents a series of learning opportunities about the free resources available from the California State Library. Library staff will present “Library 101: Databases and Resources” on Wednesday, October 11th from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. in the Library’s Learning Center. The Library is located at 421 South McClelland Street.

Attendees will learn about Northstar Learning, an online platform that provides assessments, instructor-led curricula and self-directed online learning for basic digital literacy skills. Northstar is easily accessed with a library card. Space is limited and registration is required. Patrons interested in this workshop may register by visiting the Library’s online events calendar at www.cityofsantamaria.org/library or by calling (805) 925-0994 extension 8562.

This Santa Maria Smart City, Safe City program helps improve the quality of life by teaching people how to bridge the digital divide through instructional help with smart phones, tablets, laptops, and desktops.
