Poor Richard’s Press Wins Big at the Print Excellence Awards
San Luis Obispo, CA - May 10, 2023 - Poor Richard’s Press, a leading print & communications company from San Luis Obispo, is proud to announce that it has received multiple awards at the 2023 Print Excellence Awards hosted by the Print Industries Association.At the ceremony held on a Thursday, Poor Richard’s Press was awarded two “Best of Category” (first place) awards and one “Award of Excellence”(second place) for outstanding work in the printing industry against 237 other entries.
The categories that Poor Richard’s Press won are:
• Customized/Personalized/Variable-Data Digital Printing: Poor Richard’s Press won the “Best of Category” award (first place) for a five-piece invitation set created for the The Foundation for the Performing Arts Center.
• Print/Graphic Arts Self-Promotion: Poor Richard’s Press won the “Best of Category” award for their Creative Toolkit, a marketing piece that showcases samples of their various services, including: paper samples, foil samples, embroidery samples, spot gloss samples, and more.
• Invitations - 4 or more colors: Poor Richard’s Press won the “Award of Excellence“ for a fundraiser invitation created on their digital press for Bishop Garcia Diego High School.
In addition to winning Best of Category, The Foundation for the Performing Arts Center submission was a huge marketing and fundraising success. With an overall ROI of 68% and raising $120,000 for the foundation, this mailing campaign was their most successful yet. “We took a leap of faith with a creative mailing campaign that was intended to be unique and eye-catching. The goal was to foster a personal connection with our donors through artistry, storytelling, and beautiful print materials” Kristen explained.
