Swim Lesson Registration and Skill Assessments

Swim Lesson Registration and Skill Assessments

The City of Santa Maria Recreation and Parks Department is pleased to inform the community about the open registration for evening swim lessons, beginning on Monday, March 25th at 8:00 a.m.

Not sure which class level suits your child best? Take advantage of the free drop-in skill assessments on Sunday, March 24th from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Pioneer Valley High School Pool, 675 Panther Drive. No registration is necessary. Swim instructors will evaluate participants’ abilities and recommend the appropriate class placement.

Whether the child is a beginner looking to conquer the water or an experienced swimmer aiming to improve their technique, the City’s certified Red Cross swim instructors will help participants learn water safety, stroke skills, and confidence-building exercises in an encouraging and fun environment.

Swim lessons are two-weeks long with 35-minute sessions, and held at the Paul Nelson Aquatic Center, 600 South McClelland Street.

Residents may register for swim lessons and other spring programs at cityofsantamaria.org/register.

Questions may be directed to the Recreation and Parks Department Office at (805) 925-0951 extension 2260.
