Genealogy Presentation
The City of Santa Maria Public Library is pleased to host a genealogy presentation on locating ancestors in Ticino Switzerland. The presentation will be held Saturday, March 25th from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the Library’s Shepard Hall. The Library is located at 421 South McClelland Street.
This special presentation will feature local genealogists Midge Buchert and Sandy Peterson, who will share their experience researching the inter-related Italian-Swiss families of the Central Coast of California. Buchert and Peterson will also discuss the genealogy database “FamilySearch” and present tools they created to use within the database for more efficient searches. Seating is limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
