State of the City 2024

The Santa Maria community is invited to join The State of the City Address as our local government officials provide updates about matters of the city.

Santa Maria is preparing steps to correct its significant budget deficit, which may include new revenue sources, service reductions and use of one-time reserves.

Mayor Alice Patino and Acting City Manager Chuen Wu will be speaking about the state of Santa Maria and the future of our city.

Alice Patino has served as Mayor of Santa Maria since 2012, after making history as Santa Maria’s first female mayor. In his current acting capacity, Chuen Wu manages the day-to-day operations of the City, advises the City Council on fiscal and City matters and implements policies set forth by the City Council as the City Manager.

Spanish interpretation services will be available during the event.
